Chancel Choir
The Chancel Choir has been a beloved part of the Quincy Point Congregational Church music ministry for decades. Our Chancel Choir enhances the Sunday Worship Services every week (September through June) by praising God through music with anthems, leading the congregation in hymn singing, and special music. Additionally, our Chancel Choir will offer their music during special worship services throughout the year; most notably the Christmas Eve Service and the Good Friday Community Service. In addition our Chancel Choir joins forces with Saint Joseph’s Catholic Church Choir for the annual community Thanksgiving Ecumenical Service. The members of our chancel choir are volunteers that enjoy lifting up their voices to God in singing sacred and spiritual music of all genres and styles.
Membership in this choir is open to anyone who has a love for Christian music and singing; no formal musical training is necessary.
Rehearsals occur every Thursday night (September through June)
from 7:30 pm – 9:00 pm
in the choir room.
The first practice is on September 9, 2010.
Rehearsals are led by the Director of Music & Choirs and assisted by the organist/pianist, and our professional section leaders.
