Youth Group

Youth Group meets (2nd & 4th Sunday)  at 4:00 - 5:30PM

September through June

All youth in fourth through eighth grade are welcome to attend.

Opening day for 2010-2011 year in Sunday, September 26th, 2010

in 2009-2010 the groups enjoyed many activities of fun and mission.   Some of the fun events included going on the Haunted Ship aboard the USS Salem and taking a boat trip to Georges Island.  The mission work ranged from presenting a worship service at a nursing home to creating a "peace" pole.   This pole is diplayed outside the front doorway of the church.   It reminds passersby in many languages, "May peace prevail".

In the fall of 2009 the youth group welcomed

Carl McDonald

as the New Youth Director

Getting to Know Carl McDonald

In November, 2009  QPCC called Carl McDonald to serve as the Youth Director. Many of you won’t see much of Carl because he is also working a full time job as Director of Boston Urban Outreach at City Mission Society of Boston. In addition, on Sundays he serves at First Church, UCC in Charlestown as their Supply Pastor.

Carl previously served at the Massachusetts Conference of the United Church of Christ in Framingham and has led youth groups at several different churches. Carl’s passion is leading young people to learn how their faith connects to their everyday lives.

Originally from Maine, Carl now lives in East Boston. He graduated from Andover Newton Theological School in 1998, with a Masters of Divinity. Carl is the proud father of two adult sons and has the smartest, handsomest three year old grandson in the world!

He is enjoying his new position at QPCC and looks forward to building the youth ministry program.
